Student, Composer, Singer

About

Brayden Allen (b. 2005) is a composer/arranger, singer, and student based in Dallas, Texas. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Dallas Baptist University, where his studies emphasize a comprehensive foundation in musicianship skills and choral artistry. Brayden studies choral conducting under Dr. Joshua Brown, Composition under Dr. Uriah Rinzel, and Voice under Dr. Wes Moore. He also serves as a tenor section leader in two of the university’s primary choral ensembles and currently works for DBU’s College of Fine Arts. His musical development has largely been shaped by formative mentors, including his high school choir director, Rico D. Hamilton, whose guidance first fostered his passion for choral music. In the summer of 2023, Brayden was honored to be selected to sing for the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy at the Oregon Bach Festival, under the direction of renowned conductor, Dr. Anton Armstrong. As a composer, Brayden seeks to write music that is transformative for both performer and listener, striving to engage singers and audiences on emotional and spiritual levels while maintaining a thoughtful, text-driven approach to the craft, with special attention to detail.
